A Rainy Day

It was raining here on the Central Coast today.  I had plans to head out but the rain was a little heavier than I felt comfortable taking a camera in.  Instead, I did the next best thing- edit photos I've been sitting on.  The first panorama is from the top of Black Hill in Morro Bay.  Black Hill is an ancient volcanic plug.  It is part of a larger chain of volcanic peaks which make up the "Nine Sisters" here in San Luis Obispo County.  In the distance you can see Morro Rock which is another volcanic plug and member of the Nine Sisters.  I used 6 images to create this photo.

The following photo was taken at Montana De Oro, just outside of Los Osos.  The area is named for these Golden Poppies which bloom in the Spring.

Hopefully the weather is a little better next weekend.  I've got a few ideas in the works...
